The last generation of human beings had not learned from their centuries of mistakes. They burned themselves, and everything they ever touched, into ash. For millions of years, the world was untouched by life. Until, from that ash, what rose was not a second chance for the ones who failed the planet, but life’s most important creation: the humble bees.

What Is Bee RPG?

Bee RPG is a dark, but humorous, fantasy role playing game, where planet of the bees meets mid-century punk. Friends can gather around a table, or video call, and tell daring tales of their bee characters. Large and small, all kinds of bees are trying to break free of the stranglehold the powers that be oppressed them with. Reminiscent of those who have come before them. Using character’s innate abilities, unique items, and diverse world views to make an impact on the paths laid before them. Above all, Bee RPG was made for friends to come together to tell jokes, roll dice, and forget about what ails them. If you're bad at rolling higher than a 12 on a 20-sided die, this is the game for you!

Ban together from across five different mega hives to fight against the shadowy forces of Bee Council. An elite cabal of aristocrats given power by their Queens to enact suffering upon the land and extract as many resources as possible. Team up with your friends, join The Resistance of Nomads, or even fight alongside the Bee Council to learn their exploitable weakness. 

Did That Say Mega Hives?

Yes! In the new world of Aepis, there are five unique hives that bees can come from.

Apoidea City

A (sort of) thriving metropolis reminiscent of 90s New York City culture if bees industrialized it. Citizens of the city look most like the humans that once stood on this soil, but with minor insectoid features, and bad fashion senses.

Happy Hive

The happiest place in Aepis, Happy Hive, is a giant bee's nest that functions as a thriving pollinating utopia. Little bees with big heads, and funny demeanors do their work during the day, and pursue their passions at night.   

Horn Nest

The Horn Nest isn’t someplace you’d want to get lost in. A labyrinth of tunnels, this place’s function over form is only understandable to those who live there. Some of the meanest bees come from here, taking the most cues from their ancestors in terms of animalist features and attitudes. 

Mountain Range

To the north, waves of hill and cliffs are the collection known as Mountain Range. A loose colony of bees who grew to the size of buildings! Many live out peaceful lives, unless someone tries to test that theory.

The Collective

This hive mind of bees have constituted a powerful chitinous civilization where they debate how to rule from. Home to swarms of sentient bees that either create neural network clouds that make a single being, or biologically restore a body to puppet around.

Playing Bee RPG

The official Bee RPG Handbook with all the rules for character creation and gameplay is free to download! Along with printable character sheets to fill out a bunch of and force onto your friends. To play, all you’ll need is:

• A standard set of RPG dice
• The Bee RPG Handbook and Character Sheets
• And hopefully some willing participants to enjoy it with
